Gethsemane Baptist Church is located in the inner city of Newport News, Virginia with members residing in each of the seven cities here in Hampton Roads and as far as Richmond. There are countless individuals and families who are touched by this ministry across the length and breadth of this country and around the globe to include those who attend service at Transformation Place each Sunday. The mission of Gethsemane Baptist Church is to disciple, minister, and empower by demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ to families throughout Hampton Roads and beyond. We endeavor to accomplish our mission by demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ to all that God blesses us to meet.  

As it takes all parts of the body to accomplish the missions we have been given by God, we assemble ourselves with a strong emphasis on building healthy families who are living with the guidance of biblical standards and principles. There are several ministry programs designed to strengthen and empower all families in fellowship at GBC. We embrace and understand the call of God to serve one another and provide opportunities for constant and uplifting Christian fellowship.
