The mission of the Gethsemane Baptist Church Learning and Child Care is to provide a wholesome Christian atmosphere of care and learning for children of preschool age by using Scripture, the latest Technology, innovative Educational Programs and creative Playtime and recreation. By stressing personal Identity and GBC Christian Nurture, we will instill a strong sense of self-esteem and self-worth as our children S.T.E.P.-I.N to a whole new world of learning equipped with preschool kindergarten skills and beyond. Christian Academy (K5-4th Grade) At the GBC Christian Academy, children are empowered with Christian values and achievements in excellence. The academy serves kindergarten thru 4th grade and highlights: affordable tuition, before and after school care, the ABEKA Curriculum, certified teachers and school uniforms. First Principles Classes We encourage all of our New Members to enroll in our First Principles Classes. These classes are designed to familiarize God's people with his word as it relates to sin, forgiveness, faith, repentance, confession and more. We have also been blessed to be able to provide additional bible and training, through the Evan's Smith Bible Institute. This is an accredit certificate program in partnership with the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University.
